The 18hour class is 4 rolled into one, Prepermit, Concealed carry street survival, Try before you buy and Skill and confidence together. The class will provide a solid foundation of legal, safety, fundamentals and range etiquette. My job is to give the student a chance to sleep in their own bed at the end of the day. Not a hospital bed, jail bed or coffin. 1st night 6-10pm is legal and a bit boring but reference jail bed. 2nd night 6-10pm is guns & equipment. Learn what guns are easier to learn on. 3rd night 6-10pm is psychology, 3 rules of a gunfight, article 35 and more. Just 3 students have articulated rule number 1 of a gunfight coming in. 4th night 6-10pm usually Friday body mechanics vs the unconscious reptilian brain. We build the fundamentals dry, including draw stroke while trying multiple guns to see what fits. 5th class is usually Saturday 8-11 live fire, front site video & qualify. Then shoot more, test guns, solve problems, get better. NONE of the students that already had pistol permits or shot before had proper grip to start this class, NONE. Everyone can improve. Please come early if you can. Doors open 30 min before class starts. You need to sign a roster I will have extra training videos playing. Bring note taking materials, a drink and a quiet snack if you need to. I will take a break near the middle. Download forms from county Sheriff's website. Read them twice ! You do not have to wait for the class to start filling them in. Do not sign yourself. Take the reference forms to your people and watch them fill them out and sign the 2nd sheet. Do not get fingerprints before you have a date with the sheriff's office to turn your completed paperwork in because fingerprints expire after 30 days.
